exposition coming up!

Two weeks ago me and my sister attended the Kunst Strip Beurs in Utrecht. It was a lot of fun! I sold some books and we met some nice people. With my fresh made money I bought some comics too, and traded books with other participants.

Then there’s an exposition coming up. The art academy where I recently graduated is organizing a big exposition to promote the illustration department. Everybody is all hyped up about it. There’s also a nice poster to announce the expo (designed by my Graphic designer friend Winda Bults).

The theme of the exposition is “created by man” or “Manmade” I am not sure which description fits better. I made a very big illustration this time. To challenge myself, and because I wanted it to attract attention, once exhibited with all the other works of the other participants.  I rarely work with a coloured background or with only paint (gouache/acrylics) because I’m waaaay to impatient for that. But I like how it turned out this time.
